Prof. Garik Markarian – Emeritus Professor Lancaster University, International Fellow of National Academy of Sciences in Armenia, Visiting Professor at the University of Technology (UTeM, Melaka, Malaysia).
Prof Markaran is Rinicom Intelligent Solutions’ CEO and has over 25 years of experience in wireless communications including 10 years in Senior Executive Positions, working for a number of USA and Canadian Companies. He actively contributed to DVB-DSNG, DVB-S(2), DVB-RCS, IEEE802.16a/d/e/m and EUROCAE standards where he chaired a number of committees and provided technical contributions that are incorporated in these standards. He is also a member of the Editorial Board “Journal of Telecommunications, Electronic and Computer Engineering”, a Chairman of the IET Professional Panel on Communications and a member of the UK Government Advisory Committee on Measurements in Emerging Technologies. He co-authored over 200 publications, including 6 text books and 44 National and International Patents.

During my engagement since the founding of the department in 2018, I oversaw the development of systems and strategic planning as well as the conduct of operational actions, which resulted in the adoption of training programs, raising operations, developing technology in saving lives with the help of unmanned systems applied by CMRS.
The success of the CMRS program has been recognized by other services, so today the CMRS trains other services in the Republic of Croatia.

Eva MUÑOZ is a Telecommunication Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) and holds an eMBA. She works in ETRA Research and Development, Technology Department since 2013, where she is involved in the management of European projects under the H2020 programs mainly related to security, ICT, mobility and energy, in multidisciplinary groups, both at a technical and economical level. She is currently the Project Manager of H2020 PRAETORIAN and was the Project Coordinator of the SIMON FP7 project, and has been involved in more than 10 projects successfully finished, such as H2020 PREVISION, PRISMACLOUD and GRIDSOL. Her main role in all these projects is related with the implementation, validation and evaluation of technologies as well as with exploitation activities and business strategy.

Frédéric Guyomard is an expert research engineer at EDF R&D (EDF-Lab Paris-Saclay) and for 18 years he has been working in the field of computer security.
He has been specialising for twelve years in the security and evaluation of industrial environments by participating in several large-scale projects, both for the renovation of installations and in the context of new projects for the EDF group.
In 2019 he participated in the European Commission workshops on IPCEI – Cybersecurity, where two main proposals were selected to be recommended among the 6 workstreams to be prioritised.
Today, he is also the Director of the European Project PRAETORIAN, a consortium of 23 partners in 7 EU countries, dealing with the combined cyber and physical threat to Critical Infrastructures in Europe.
He is a member of the EXERA Cybersecurity Technical Committee, member of ECSO and ENCS. Also author of the Cybersecurity research and focus roadmap for EDF Lab.
He’s main interest is the security of industrial facilities, the analysis of threats on the digital domain and the potential impacts of the realisation of these threats. As the protection and defence of systems became huge issues, he sees international partnerships and collaborations as essentials.

Professionally active for 30+ years in Belgian law enforcement including a couple of deployments with international organisations, providing me with a wide but useful mix of experiences in: police special operations, criminal investigations, counter-terrorism, analysis, threat assessment and security. International missions with the International Criminal Court and the International Committee of the Red Cross, in positions including operations, policy development, security, training, humanitarian work and emergency contexts (Congo DRC & Iraq).
Currently seconded from the Federal Police, where I was working on the terrorist threat related to critical infrastructure and drones, to the counter-terrorism policy unit within the European Commission (DG HOME), in charge of the coordination and development of the C-UAS file.

Željko Pivalica has been engaged in the protection of civil air traffic for 28 years. He is currently working as a Quality Manager at Securitas Hrvatska d.o.o. Aviation, where aside to quality control, he conducts trainings for all civil air traffic security activities. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at Croatia Airlines, mostly in the position of Civil Air Traffic Protection Manager. He has held many professional positions (member of the National Commission for the Protection of Civil Air Traffic of the Republic of Croatia, member of the Security Committee of IATA and AEA, Instructor at EASTI in Brussels,…). He has participated as a speaker at a number of different professional conferences in Croatia and abroad.

Sam Lowe has worked in the emerging technology sector for over 7 years with a strong background in security and defence.
Since entering the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter Drone (C-UAS) industry in 2017, Sam has worked with major organisations in the UK including the Metropolitan Police and Border Force in modelling and implementing UAS programs to assist in cost savings and operational enhancements to assist with the implementation of UK law and public safety. Sam also lead the Gatwick C-UAS project for the deployment of technologies to secure the airspace during the 2018 disturbance. Since then, Sam has worked with multiple suppliers and end users such as London Heathrow, Auckland, Budapest & Bristol Airports, and other CNI customers such as DeBeers Diamond Mines.
